Don't give your fridge the cold shoulder

Clean your refrigerator coils and seals to provide good air circulation.

The condenser coils on the back of your refrigerator are used to transfer heat from the inside to the outside of the unit. If the coils are dirty or dusty, they make the refrigerator work harder and use more electricity. Also ensure that you are allowing good air circulation around the refrigerator so the compressor doesn't have to work as hard. To optimize adequate air circulation between the fridge and the walls, or the appliances around it, leave at least a 1” (2.54 cm) space on all sides.
