Overdrying is hard on your clothes and on your energy use
Most dryers come with moisture sensor drying. Using it will help to reduce your dryer's energy use because it will automatically shut off when clothes are dry. It also saves your clothes from overdrying which can be hard on them.
Another smart idea is to sort loads into similar fabrics to avoid uneven drying.
